I heard the premise for this picture show and was interested. I knew it was based on a creepy pasta that I personally never read but I was still interested in the story based on the article I read about it and knowing none of the cast. It was essentially a blind viewing knowing aught about the movie only just a vague thought of the story.
This movie actually had a decent start with the kid and the grandpa going hunting in the woods which was really overnice. Once the showtime scare happened I actually idea it was going to exist a decent film considering it seemed similar information technology set up something cool finding a staircase in the middle of the…

The Stairs...2021
Directed by...Peter 'Drago' Tiemann
Starring.. John Schneider, Trin Miller, Kathleen QuinlanSlap nuance garbage, in a pathetic try at a horror motion picture, a grandfather (John Schneider..Smallville) and grandson vanish on a hunting trip later on finding a strange staircase to nowhere in the middle of the forrest. 20 years later a group of hikers find strange people and happenings in the same forrest. Jason L Lowe'south screenplay does absolutely nothing to explicate whatever of what'southward going on, what'southward with the stairs? A clandestine facility, that changes layout and time has no significant? (None of this is explored at all.)
At the cease there are more questions than answers. (Like why did I bother watching this?)

A bit weird, foreign, and goofy but was fun.
I liked it.
Has a fun score and the actors were good.🌲

Not bad for a low upkeep creature feature flick. The concept is interesting only the film doesn't explain annihilation about the stairs. The product is ok. The monster is creepy and there are some solid gore effects. None of the characters are believable and they wait like strangers pretending to exist friends but overall it'due south an entertaining watch.

The creatures are called "Grub Daddies"
At one point a character says to a "Grub Daddy" ....ahem..."I'm your daddy now!!"
Stupid picture with stupid characters doing stupid shit. It's bad when the best character is named Dingy Doug.
I don't know how Laila finds this stuff.

Eh, the beast designs were solid. The story overall was kinda corking. There's a door behind some weirdly shaped stairs in the middle of the wood that aren't continued to annihilation that's apparently home to some rubbery silent colina-esque creatures.
I enjoyed the back and along between the group of friends hiking. Peculiarly the character of Nick who was ready to get the fuck outta there every bit presently every bit shit started to become weird. Ending was a fleck too sappy simply Im non mad at it. Low upkeep so I kinda knew what to expect going in. This was decent just I don't think I'll watch it again.

I bet when you put on a moving picture called The Stairs yous don't expect Maggot People, exercise y'all?
When this get-go started, I had to look online to brand sure I didn't accidentally put on a Hallmark movie and the single mom wasn't going to fall in love and celebrate Christmas in the next one-half hour.
Luckily, a maggot baby showed up soon afterward, and as Christmassy equally that seems, this did plow out to exist a horror motion-picture show.... barely. However, it was fun, I hateful, in that location are maggot people.

Seen at Crypticon Seattle Film Festival 2021
This movie had some funny comedic tone at times and sprinkled in horror sci fi elements as well. The story was a bit predictable and formulaic at times. The fauna design was quite awesome and the deaths were decent.
Overall this film was decent. A local film that is getting much dearest and hope the manager and crew get to make other films downwards the line.

Look, it doesn't matter what I recall. I don't know annihilation about making movies, I simply know about watching them. Here's the events exactly as they transpired: I went into the theater, I watched a movie, and so I left the theater. That's all I know. This evening, when I go to sleep, I'll know I kicked out a few bucks for the indie pic-makers out there. And the world will keep turning. G'dark.

No fundamental theme, no build up, and no label. This is a whole bunch of nothings put together in endeavour to tell a story.
A kid and grandfather get missing while hunting. 20 years later a group of uninteresting hiker may take stumbled upon the whereabouts and caption of the missing 2, just they are also existence hunted downward by a deadly paranormal being.
The beast looks like a Tardigrade with the face of the Toothfairy from "Motel in the Woods" but every bit a cheap torso suit for an adult.
Often if a fantasy motion picture has no story, there is at least a connecting theme, a metaphor, or symbolism that connects events. This pic has a few strange horror type… -
Went into this completely bullheaded other than the fact that John Schneider from Smallville would brand an appearance. In its opening act, The Stairs was really solid, building upward relations between a set of characters and rising tensions within the woods. All the same, every bit the true main bandage was introduced, I felt intrigued less and less -- this is a very entertaining monster movie hindered by a script that leaves nothing to question, nothing to discuss. The wraparound plot twist reveal was sudden and the survivor didn't earn their status. Could've probably been much ameliorate every bit a found footage.
